Maturity
Microfiction Daily Post #3 - Originally published on Substack on 20/08/25. I changed the ages of the men a little this time, because I felt like a prick picking on men in their "early twenties"...
I’m on my way to town in the car. As I drive, I pass two men deep into their twenties, carrying long skateboards under their arms as they walk down the street. With an air of superiority, I derisively mutter, “Grow up, boys.”
I keep driving.
I drive into town, park the car, and walk the short way to the Comic Book Store.
I’m there for an hour.
True story.
Thanks for reading.
